stuff we like ~ gutermann glow thread

The stuff we like (or may not) this week is Gutermann Glow thread.

Yes a bit out there for some but I think this has the potential to be a bit of fun.

You could use these threads on tutus or fairy dresses for a bit
of a glow in the garden of an evening .

You could stitch motifs or random scrawls on t-shirts for blue light discos.

Just think of the potential for glowing outfits at Halloween .

Glowing Christmas angels sound so pretty too .

Gutermann Glowy 100m polyester .
Guaranteed up to 50 washes with diminishing glow .
The intensity of the glow is determined by the length of light exposure.

Available from your local craft store .

So what do you think ? Would you have use for these threads?

Do you have something you would like showcased ?

Have a great week !

Hey Clare! I haven't used this thread, but did have one of my quilts quilted on a longarm with glow in the dark thread used on the BACK of the quilt. The quilting pattern I chose was meandering stars and when the quilt was left under the light, then looked at in the dark ... there were glow in the dark stars to enjoy! :0) I probably got a bigger kick out of it than the nephew the quilt went to, but it was fun to play with! Tee! Hee! Hee! Happy glowy stitching! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Oh wow, what a great idea I loved Kris's comment how cool would it be to be actually wrapped up in glowing stars.

OH MY GIDDY AUNT! DO Blue Light Discos still happen? It's been twenty five years since I happened by one of those. I would have been up for a boogie in glow thread. (um. plus clothing. of course).
